How to Root the LG Eclypse
Time has come to shake the dust off of your LG Eclypse smartphone as a root method’s knocking your door. It’s been a long time since the device was launched and nothing much interesting has happened to it since then. But it looks like the game’s going to change with root-access on the device. Once you’ve rooted your device, you will have access to a plethora of root-only apps available for your device and to add to the excitement, you’ll be able to flash custom recoveries as well. Sounds great? huh. Let’s see how you can root your LG Eclypse smartphone:
I. Before You Begin:
1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. You should have appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, get them from here.
3. This procedure works on Windows based PCs only.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. SuperOneClick (It’s attached in the first post)
III. Rooting the LG Eclypse:
1. Place the SuperOneClick archive onto your Desktop.
2. Unzip files from the archive over to your Desktop.
3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by simply heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.
4. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
5. Double-click on SuperOneClick executable available on your Desktop.
6. Hit the Root button and it’ll start rooting your device.
7. It should install the Superuser app as well on your device.
8. Once you’re rooted, reboot your device.
9. You’re done!
Brilliant! You have successfully achieved root on your LG Eclype smartphone with the help of SuperOneClick. Now go ahead and try-out some root-only apps on your device!
