How to Root the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 running Jelly Bean
So you just updated your Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 smartphone to Jelly Bean and it broke root-access? No worries, here’s how you can get the root back. Each time a firmware update arrives, one has to find a way to root his device on that particular firmware version. Fortunately, it didn’t take too long for the developers to come up with a root method for the Ace 2 running Jelly Bean. Here’s how you can root your device:
I. Before You Begin:
1. As you may already know, this will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. Make sure your device has at least 60% of battery life left.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Root (Download link’s given in the first post)
III. Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 running Jelly Bean:
1. Place the Root archive on your Desktop.
2. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
3. Copy the Root archive over to the root of your SD card.
4. Once it’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.
5. Turn OFF your device.
6. Turn it back on by holding down Volume UP+Home+Power buttons together.
7. You should now be in Recovery mode.
8. Select install update from external storage.
9. Choose the Root file you copied earlier to your device to be flashed.
10. It’ll begin flashing the file on your device.
11. Once the file’s been flashed, reboot your device.
12. You’re done!
Brilliant! You’ve successfully rooted your Galaxy Ace 2 on Jelly Bean and you now have all your root-privileges back on your device!
IV. Flash a Custom Recovery Image (Optional):
1. If you would like to flash a custom recovery image in order to flash custom ROMs, head to the How To Flash a Custom Recovery Image on the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 to learn how to do that.

Hello Dhika,
Did you extract the Root.zip file? The file’s not supposed to be extracted, you just need to leave it on the root of your SD card.
Thanks!
