How to Root the Samsung Galaxy S3 (NTT DoCoMo)
The Samsung Galaxy S3 (NTT DoCoMo) has been rooted, all thanks to Chainfire for coming up with his modified kernel root-method. While its other variants were already enjoying root, the NTT DoCoMo variant had been looking for someone to come up and root it. And it looks like the wish has been fulfilled. If you happen to own this device and interested in rooting it, then head on over to following guide to learn how to root the Samsung Galaxy S3 (NTT DoCoMo) smartphone. Here you go:
I. Before You Begin:
1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. This works on Windows based PCs only.
3. This works on the SC-06D model only.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. CF-Root
2. Odin
III. Rooting the Samsung Galaxy S3 (NTT DoCoMo):
1. Download and place both the files onto your Desktop.
2. Extract files from both the archives over to your Desktop.
3. Double-click on the Odin executable file and it’ll launch.
4. Click on PDA and select the CF-Root file you just extracted to your Desktop.
5. Make sure that only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time boxes are checked in the tool.
6. Uncheck the Repartition box if it’s checked.
7. Power off your device.
8. Reboot your device into Download mode. This can be done by holding down the Volume DOWN+Home+Power buttons together.
9. Once inside Download mode, connect your device to your PC via USB cable.
10. Hit Start in the Odin and it’ll begin flashing the file.
11. It’ll take a minute or two to finish flashing the file.
12. Once it’s done, your device will automatically reboot.
13. And you’re done!
Great! Your Galaxy S3 has been successfully rooted and is equipped with the Superuser app to help you manage root permissions. Now go ahead and install all of your favorite root-only apps that you were hoping to get on your device!
