How to Set the Audio Equalizer on the OnePlus One

Let’s be honest while most of us had a stand alone MP3 player at some point in time, most of us now use our Smart Phones to listen to our music. If you’re anything like me you want your tunes to sound great and CyanogenMod on the OnePlus One comes with a tool called AudioFX to ensure just that.  In this How To we’ll walk through customizing your audio experience on the OnePlus One

1.  Tap on the App button (the one that looks like a circle with 3 smaller circles in it).

2. Tap AudioFX.Screenshot_2014-10-09-07-45-21

3.  We’re now given a really pretty app that let’s us customize our audio based on how we are listening to it.  If you tap on the word Speaker (it may say Headset if you have your headphones plugged in) you can select the playback device that you want to adjust settings for.  Let’s go with Headset.

4.  You’ll notice an on/off toggle on the top right.  Make sure that’s on.  If not tap on it. This means that AudioFX settings are turned on for that playback device.

5. You can now adjust basic equalizer settings on your own or use a preset.  I was listening to some techno when I wrote this so I slide the EQUALIZER PRESET bar to electronic.

6. I’m in the mood for some bass. Tap and hold to draw a circle on the Bass boost control.

7. Why not a little surround sound. Tap and hold to draw a circle on the Surround sound control.

8.  You can also adjust the Reverb. I decided to leave that one as it was.

Your audio experience has now been customized thanks to CyanogenMod.
