How To Sync Your Google Account On Your Windows Phone Device

Sometimes you don’t have to choose. You can love both of them. Have your Windows Phone device and keep your Gmail account, Google calendar, and Google contacts. Really, it’s ok. Now, that we have that out of the way, the big question is how do you setup your Windows Phone to automatically sync with your Google account? Let’s see if we can show you how.

I. Sync Your Google Account

1. On the phone, go to Settings.

2. Scroll down and then select Email and Accounts.

3. Select Add an Account.

4. Select Google.

5. Put in your Google or Google Apps email and password and then hit Sign In.

II. Change the Google Settings to Your Preference

1. Once it shows it syncing, select the Google account that is in the Email and Accounts settings page.

2. Scroll down and change the different settings to your preference (choose what content to sync, how often to sync, and how far back to sync, etc.)

3. Now, you should be able to check your People app and see all of your Google contacts in it, check the email app and see your GMail, and check the Calendar app to see your Google calendar all set up.
