How to Unroot the Alcatel One Touch 908
So finally you’re sick and tired of using root-access on your Alcatel One Touch 908 and want to go back to stock ROM? No problem, here’s how you can do that. Getting your device back to stock is as easy as flashing a custom ROM, which you may have done earlier, and this guide splits the entire procedure into steps for your convenience. So, here you go:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. You must have a custom recovery installed on your device. Follow this guide to do so.
3. Make sure your device has at least 70% of battery life left.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Stock ROM (Download link’s given in the first post)
III. Unrooting the Alcatel One Touch 908:
1. Download and place the Stock ROM archive onto your Desktop.
2. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
3. Copy the Stock ROM archive over to the root of your SD card.
4. Once it’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.
5. Turn OFF your device.
6. Reboot your device into the custom recovery mode. To do that, simply hold down the Volume UP+Power buttons together for a few seconds.
7. Once inside Recovery mode, select install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard.
8. Select the Stock ROM zip to be flashed on your device.
9. Once the ROM has been flashed, reboot your device
10. And you’re back to stock now!
Brilliant! Your device has been unrooted and is back to the stock firmware. All the default apps are now back on your device and any modifications that you may have done are lost!
