How to Unroot the Archos Gen9 Tablet

Recently we showed you how you can root your Archos Gen9 Tablet and in this guide, we are going to show you how you can unroot your tablet. Your device will be sent to its factory state when you unroot it, here you go:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using this procedure given here.

2. Please charge your device fully in order to prevent any interruptions.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Stock Firmware (Choose your product using the dropdown menu, download the firmware)

III. Unrooting the Archos Gen9 Tablet:

1. Download and place the Stock Firmware file on your Desktop.

2. Connect your tablet to your PC using the USB cable.

3. Transfer the Stock Firmware file to the internal storage of your tablet. Make sure to put the file into the root folder.

4. Disconnect your tablet from the PC after the file has been copied.

5. As soon as you disconnect the device, it will automatically identify the firmware file and will ask you if you want to update to the latest firmware. Just say Yes and it should begin updating your device.

Congrats ! You have successfully unrooted your tablet, now it runs on the Official Archos Firmware.
