How to Unroot the Huawei Ascend P1

Maybe you’re sending your device for some warranty purpose? Maybe you just want to unroot your device? Either way, this guide will help you unroot your Huawei Ascend P1 smartphone. Once you’re done with the procedure, you’ll be running the official Huawei stock firmware on your device. And here you go:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. Your device needs to have at least 70% of battery life left.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Stock Firmware (Download the appropriate firmware for your device)

III. Unrooting the Huawei Ascend P1:

1. Download and place the Stock Firmware archive onto your Desktop.

2. Extract files and folders from the archive over to your Desktop.

3. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

4. Now copy the dload folder that you extracted from the firmware archive over to the root of your SD card.

5. Once it’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.

6. Turn OFF your device.

7. Press and hold the Volume UP+Volume DOWN+Power buttons together.

8. The firmware flashing will begin and should take a couple of minutes to finish.

9. Reboot your device once the flashing’s done.

10. And you’re done!

Great! Your device has been unrooted and is back to stock firmware.

  1. do i have to copy dload to a “root”-order on the sd card?
    if i press volume up and down and power, then the smartphone is starts normally. if a press only the volume-up-button and power button, then the display show the clockworkmod recovery v5.8.4.5 (a black and blue screen), but its not installing automaticlly. can you help me please?
