How to Unroot the LG Optimus U
Unrooting the LG Optimus U would be beneficial for you if you’re going to sell it or visiting the service center for any warranty purpose. In the first case, it’ll help you get some decent price for your device and in the latter one, you’ll have a valid warranty so you won’t face any issues at the center. This guide shows exactly how you can unroot your LG Optimus U using the quickest and simplest method available.
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must have rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you used any other method to root your device, this guide may not work for you.
2. Your device should have at least 50% of battery life left.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. z4Root APK (It’s attached in the first post)
III. Unrooting the LG Optimus U:
1. Place the z4Root APK file you downloaded to your Desktop.
2. Connect your Optimus U to your PC using the USB cable.
3. Copy the APK file over to the root of your SD card.
4. Once it’s been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.
5. Enable the Unknown sources option on your device by going to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Unknown sources.
6. Open the File Manager app on your device and install the APK you copied earlier.
7. Once it’s been installed, open it from your App Drawer.
8. Tap Unroot button in the app and it’ll unroot your device.
9. You should be unrooted now!
Excellent! Your Optimus U has been successfully unrooted and your warranty’s also been reinstated.
