How to Unroot the Motorola Fire XT
If you happen to have rooted your Motorola Fire XT but now want to return it to service center, make sure you unroot it first. Unrooting will reinstate the warranty of your device and you should be good to go then. Here’s how you can unroot your Motorola Fire XT:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must have rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you used any other method to root your device, this procedure might not work for you.
2. This procedure works on Windows based PCs only.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. SuperOneClick (It’s attached in the first post)
III. Unrooting the Motorola Fire XT:
1. Place the SuperOneClick archive onto your Desktop.
2. Unzip files from the archive over to your Desktop.
3. Enable the USB debugging option on your device by going to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.
4. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.
5. Double-click on SuperOneClick executable file available on your Desktop.
6. Hit Unroot button in the app and it’ll unroot your device.
7. You should be unrooted now!
Cool! Your Motorola Fire XT has been unrooted and is ready to be sent to service center!
