How to Unroot the Motorola Moto Maxx
Unrooting your Motorola Moto Maxx helps you get your device back to the stock firmware. This removes root-access as well as any custom modifications that you may have done on your device and gives you a complete stock experience.
There are various reasons why you may want to unroot your device. Maybe you’re experiencing issues with the apps on your device, or maybe the WiFi just stopped working after you flashed a custom ROM on your device. Flashing the stock firmware usually solves 99% of the software related issues, and lets you have a working phone right in your hands. In case you have flashed a custom kernel that you found on an Android forum that claims to be improving your device’s performance, but you realized it had an adverse effect on your device, unrooting solves this for you. It flashes back the stock kernel that is the most stable and reliable one for your device.
It also removes any custom mods and launchers that you may have flashed on your device. Maybe you flashed a launcher but later found that it’s not displaying some apps, or maybe the launcher just doesn’t suit your style. Whatever your issue is, unrooting should set you back to the default launcher.
Another reason is, maybe you’re going to sell your device and you just don’t want the customer to know what modifications you have done on your device. Since unrooting removes all signs of the modifications, your buyer will never know that the device was once rooted. This way, you can get a few more bucks for your device.
