How to Unroot the MyPhone A618 TV Duo
Want to learn how you can unroot your MyPhone A618 TV Duo? Not feeling safe with root-access on your device as you may accidentally delete a system file? No problem, we’ll help you unroot your device. Since we used Unlock Root tool to root the device, we’ll be using the same tool to unroot the device and reinstate its warranty. Here’s how:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must have rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you used any other method to root your device, this procedure may not work for you.
2. This works on Windows based PCs only.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Unlock Root (Download link’s available in the first post)
III. Unrooting the MyPhone A618 TV Duo:
1. Download and place the Unlock Root archive onto your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the archive over to your Desktop.
3. Open the Registry Editor on your Windows based PC. To do so, just press the Windows Logo+R keys together.
4. Type in regedit and hit Enter.
5. Head to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>>SOFTWARE>>Microsoft>>Windows>>CurrentVersion.
6. Look for the entry labeled as Device Path and note down its value. Then, clear the current value.
7. Minimize the Registry Editor for now.
8. Launch the Unlock Root by double-clicking its executable file available on your Desktop.
9. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by going to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.
10. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
11. Click Unroot button in the tool and it’ll unroot your device.
12. Once it’s done, reboot your device.
13. Now maximize the Registry Editor that you’ve kept open.
14. Replace the value of Device Path with the one you noted down earlier.
15. You’re done!
Brilliant! Your device’s been successfully unrooted and now has a valid warranty.
