How to Unroot the Notion Ink Adam
After rooting your device, you realized that it is something not for you, you may want to unroot your device. Unrooting will send your device back to stock firmware consisting of all the default apps that came preloaded when you bought the device. It should reinstate the warranty as well so you don’t face any issues at the service center. Here’s how you can unroot your Notion Ink Adam:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. You should have appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, they’re included in the Recovery kit below.
3. Your device needs to have at least 70% of battery life left.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Recovery Kit (Download link’s available in the first post)
III. Unrooting the Notion Ink Adam:
1. Place the Recovery Kit archive on your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the archive over to your Desktop.
3. Turn OFF your device.
4. Reboot your device into Recovery mode. To do so, simply hold down the Volume DOWN+Power buttons together for about two seconds.
5. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
6. Double-click on download.bat available on your Desktop.
7. It’ll download and flash the stock firmware on your device.
8. Once it’s done, reboot your device.
9. You’re good to go now!
Brilliant! Your Notion Ink Adam has been successfully unrooted and you will notice that the Superuser app’s been removed from your App Drawer!
