How to Unroot the Samsung Continuum
So you have rooted your Samsung Continuum smartphone and now want to unroot it? No problem, we’ll help you do just that. Rooting takes away the warranty of your device while unrooting gives it back to you. Unrooting also allows you to be eligible to get OTA updates and update your firmware to a newer version. So, let’s see how you can unroot your Samsung Continuum smartphone.
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must have rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you used any other method to root your device, the following procedure may or may not work for you.
2. This works on Windows based PCs only.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. SuperOneClick (It’s attached in the first post)
III. Unrooting the Samsung Continuum:
1. Download and place the SuperOneClick archive to your Desktop.
2. Unzip files from the archive to your Desktop.
3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by going to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.
4. Once enabled, connect your device to your PC via USB cable.
5. Now double-click on SuperOneClick executable file available on your Desktop.
6. Hit Unroot button given in the app and it’ll start unrooting your device.
7. It’ll take a minute or two to unroot your device.
8. Once it’s done, reboot your device.
9. You’re all done!
Great! Your device has been successfully unrooted and is now back to the out-of-the box state.
