How to Unroot the Samsung DoubleTime

Maybe after rooting your Samsung DoubleTime you felt like root isn’t something that can help you? Maybe you want to unroot your device? No worries, this guide should help you unroot your DoubleTime and get it back to its unrooted state. Here’s how:

Unrooting is the process of removing root access, a custom recovery (if you have one), and just trying to get the device back to as close to stock as possible.

Some of the reasons for unrooting your Samsung DoubleTime are:

• Sending in the device for warranty (most, but not all unrooting procedures reinstate the manufacturer warranty if you had one before rooting).
• Starting over (simply undoing everything you did while rooted so you can have a clean slate to start over).
• Fix any issues (Maybe rooting messed something up? No problem, unrooting will take care of it for you).

Ready to get started? Here’s how to unroot the Samsung DoubleTime:

I. Before You Begin

1. You should’ve rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you didn’t use it to root your device, this procedure may or may not work for you.

2. This should only work on Windows based PCs.

3. You should’ve appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, go ahead and get the latest drivers installed from here.

II. Downloading Required Files

1. Download SuperOneClick and save it to your desktop.

III. Unrooting the Samsung DoubleTime

1. Extract files from SuperOneClick to your desktop by right-clicking on it and selecting Extract here.

2. Enable USB debugging on your device by going to Menu > Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging.

3. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

4. Right-click on SuperOneClick executable and select Run as administrator.

5. When it launches, hit the Unroot button.

6. It’ll begin unrooting your device.

7. When it’s done, reboot your device.

8. You should now be unrooted!

Great! Your Samsung DoubleTime is now unrooted and is no longer capable of accepting root-only apps.
