How to Unroot the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (T-Mobile)
Want to have that pure Android stock feeling once again on your Galaxy Note 4 (T-Mobile) after flashing a custom ROM? No worries, you can flash the stock firmware on your device and it’ll bring it back for you. Here’s how:
Unrooting is the process of removing root access, a custom recovery (if you have one), and just trying to get the device back to as close to stock as possible.
Some of the reasons for unrooting your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (T-Mobile) are:
- Sending in the device for warranty (most, but not all unrooting procedures reinstate the manufacturer warranty if you had one before rooting).
- Starting over (simply undoing everything you did while rooted so you can have a clean slate to start over).

I. Before You Begin
1. You should have rooted your device using the guide given here.
2. This should flash the stock firmware on your device.
3. This only works for the SM-N910T variant of the device.
4. You must have a Windows based PC to do this procedure.
5. You should’ve appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you haven’t, download and install the latest drivers from here.
II. Downloading Required Files
1. Download Odin and save it to your desktop.
2. Download the appropriate stock firmware for your device and save it to your desktop.
III. Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (T-Mobile)
1. Extract files from both Odin and Stock Firmware to your desktop by right-clicking on each of them and selecting Extract here.
2. Once extracted, double-click on Odin executable and it’ll launch.
3. Click on PDA and choose Stock Firmware available on your desktop.
4. Uncheck Repartition if it’s already checked in the Odin.
5. Checkmark the boxes that say Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.
6. Turn OFF your device.
7. Turn it back on by holding down Volume DOWN, Home, and Power buttons together.
8. Press Volume UP and you should enter Download mode on your device.
9. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
10. Click on Start in the Odin and it’ll start flashing stock firmware on your device.
11. When the firmware’s flashed, your device will automatically reboot.
12. You’re all set!
Great! Your Galaxy Note 4 on T-Mobile is now back to stock and is unrooted. It’s now as pure as you bought it off the retail store.
