How to Unroot the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini
Did you mistakenly remove some required system apps from your Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini? If so, unrooting your device and flashing back the stock firmware should help you get those apps back on your device. Unrooting reinstates the warranty of your device as well. Here’s how:
Unrooting is the process of removing root access, a custom recovery (if you have one), and just trying to get the device back to as close to stock as possible.

Ready to get started? Here’s how to unroot the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini:
I. Before You Begin
1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. This only works for the SM-G800F variant of the device.
3. This procedure should only work on Windows based PCs.
4. You should’ve required drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, get the latest drivers installed from here.
II. Downloading Required Files
1. Download Odin and save it to your desktop.
2. Download the appropriate stock firmware for your device and save it to your desktop.
III. Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini
1. Extract files from both Odin and Stock Firmware to your desktop by right-clicking on each of them and selecting Extract here.
2. Double-click on Odin executable and it’ll launch.
3. Click on PDA and choose the stock firmware file that you just extracted to your desktop.
4. Uncheck Repartition if it’s already checked in the Odin.
5. Put a checkmark in the boxes that say Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.
6. Turn OFF your device.
7. Turn it back on by holding down Volume DOWN, Home, and Power buttons together.
8. Press Volume UP and you should be in Download mode.
9. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
10. Click on Start in the Odin and it’ll start the flashing procedure.
11. When the firmware’s flashed, your device should automatically reboot.
12. You’re all set!
Brilliant! Your Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini is now unrooted and is running the official stock firmware.

Hi i rooted my phone everything was working fine…then i removed some of the google play services…suddenly i couldn’t install some apps…so i did a factory reset..now it boots i do the setup (clock date ,wifi etc..) and then as its about to complete setup screen goes black and it says “unfortunately google play services has stooped working” then is goes back to the set up page
can I use any of the G800FXXU1ANH2 or do i have to specific…phone build: KOT49H.G800FXXU1ANH2
It didn’t work! I rooted it a few months ago according to the method with Odin, and now I want to remove it, but whenever I try to run the program, it eventually says “Failed!”. I have no idea what or how or why. I suspected I’d used the wrong stock at first (Android 5 instead of 4.4.2) so when I tried again with the right stock I’d hoped it would work. Again, it failed. I can not at all use my phone now, as it is stuck in “file update failed, go to recovery menu” but I can’t get to the recovery menu, only download mode or nothing. What do I do?
I had to send it to be repaired because there was no fixing it, and now I have to pay 250 euros to get it back fixed. It wasn’t even worth that much, but I miss my phone, so I might end up paying it anyway. It needed a new motherboard because the unrooting process totally destroyed my phone. Please BE CAREFUL when you root and unroot. I myself will never do it again.
