How to Unroot the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime
Whether you’re looking to send in your device for warranty purposes or you just want to get rid of root-only apps, you will need to unroot your device. Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime is quite easier than you think. A few clicks here and there, and your device will be unrooted and running the stock firmware. Here’s how you can do that:
Unrooting is the process of removing root access, a custom recovery (if you have one), and just trying to get the device back to as close to stock as possible.

I. Before You Begin
1. You should’ve rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. This procedure should only work on Windows based PCs.
3. You should have required drivers installed on your PC. If you haven’t, download and install the latest drivers from here.
II. Downloading Required Files
1. Download Odin and save it to your desktop.
2. Download the appropriate stock firmware for your device and save it to your desktop.

III. Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime
1. Right-click on both Stock Firmware and Odin and click Extract here. It’ll extract the files to your desktop.
2. Double-click on Odin executable and it will launch.
3. Click on PDA and choose the stock firmware that you just extracted to your desktop.
4. Make sure Repartition is unchecked in the Odin. This is important.
5. Checkmark the boxes that are labeled as Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.
6. Turn OFF your device.
7. Reboot your device into Download mode. To do that, hold down Volume DOWN, Home, and Power buttons together.
8. Press Volume UP and your device should enter Download mode.
9. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
10. Click Start in the Odin and it’ll start flashing stock firmware on your device.
11. Once the firmware’s flashed, your device should automatically reboot.
12. You’re all set!
Excellent! Your Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime is now unrooted and is running the official stock firmware. Your warranty is now reinstated and you can send in your device for any warranty purposes, if you that’s what you unrooted your device for.
