How to Unroot the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 (P6800 and P6810)
For times when you want to turn in your device to a service center for repairs, it’s a good idea to unroot and get your device back to stock to avoid unwanted questions and voiding your warranty. The post below will help you do this for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 (both the P6800 3G and the P6810 Wifi-only versions). Read on to know how.
I. Before You Begin
1. Back up anything you feel is important before you begin as this will erase everything on your device and replace it with stock Android 4.0.4 OS.
3. Make sure that you have the necessary drivers installed on your Windows PC before you start; this will prevent any problems during the procedure and avoid bricking your device.
II. Necessary Downloads
2. P6800XXLQ1_P6800OXALQ1_ATO.zip {Firmware for the P6800} [Download link available on Step 4 of this post]
3. P6810XXLPK_P6810OXALPK_XEU.zip {Firmware for the P6800} [Download link available on Step 4 of this post]
III. Unrooting the Galaxy Tab 7.7
1. Power down your device.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down + Power buttons until the screen comes on. Let go of the Power button now and continue holding the Volume Down button until you get the warning screen. Now, let go of the Volume Down button and press the Volume Up button to go into Download Mode.
3. Extract the Odin 1.85.rar file you downloaded above to a folder on your desktop.
4. From the extracted folder, double-click on Odin3 v1.85.exe to run the tool.
5. Click on PDA button, locate P6800XXLQ1_P6800OXALQ1_ATO.zip or P6810XXLPK_P6810OXALPK_XEU.zip depending on your device model and click on OK to load it on Odin.
6. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable. Odin should now recognize your device and light up the ID:COM field yellow to signify this. If not, reinstall the proper drivers and try again.
7. Make sure that the Re-Partition and Flash Lock are unchecked; this is important as you might brick your device if these options are ticked!
8. Click on Start.
Once Odin says PASS and your device reboots, your device should be back to stock!

Are there any precautions that should be avoided in upgrading the firmware? Can you have a screen shoot of the ‘step-by-step’ procedure you gave above, so it would be more easier for me to understand since i have the fear that i might crash my unit. Thank you
