How to Unroot the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (WiFi)
I know how it feels to have root-access on our device, but somewhere down the line you may want to unroot your device for various reasons. If Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (WiFi variant) is what you want unroot, here’s how you can do that:
Unrooting is the process of removing root access, a custom recovery (if you have one), and just trying to get the device back to as close to stock as possible.

I. Before You Begin
1. You should’ve rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. This only works for the SM-T800 variant of the device. Please do not try this on any other device.
3. This should only work on Windows based PCs.
4. You should’ve appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you haven’t, download and install the latest drivers from here.
II. Downloading Required Files
1. Download Odin and save it to your desktop.
2. Download the appropriate stock firmware for your device and save it to your desktop.
III. Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (WiFi)
1. Extract files from both Odin and Stock Firmware by right-clicking on each of them and selecting Extract here.
2. Launch Odin by double-clicking on its executable file.
3. Click on PDA and choose the stock firmware file that you just extracted to your desktop.
4. Repartition must not be checked in the Odin.
5. Checkmark Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.
6. Turn OFF your device.
7. Turn it back on by holding down Volume DOWN and Power buttons together.
8. Press Volume UP and you should be in Download mode.
9. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.
10. Hit Start in the Odin and it’ll start flashing the firmware on your device.
11. When the firmware’s flashed, your device will automatically reboot.
12. And you’re done!
Brilliant! Your Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (WiFi variant) is now unrooted and is running the official Samsung firmware. You no longer have root-access on your device, thus you cannot install root-only apps anymore.

failed to flash the stock firmware. now my tablet on odin mode telling me not to turn off target and nothing is flashing to it anymore. should i reboot my device anyway?

Did you choose the right firmware for your device? Usually, flashing with Odin doesn’t go fail unless all there’re some real issues with the device or the PC.
You can reboot your device back into download mode and re-try the procedure.

Great article and easy instructions. I have a question though. I rooted my KitKat 4.4.2 Galaxy Tab S 10.5. Now I want to unroot it so I can upgrade to Lolipop. Can’t do that OTA since it is rooted. I have downloaded Odin, and the firmware version of Lolipop instead of KitKat. Can I use that to unroot and upgrade all in one step, or am I likely to brick my device doing that?
