How to Unroot the Samsung Gravity Smart

Have a rooted Samsung Gravity Smart smartphone? Looking for a way to unroot it? No worries, here’s how you can do that. Unrooting will reinstate the warranty of your device as well as get your device back to stock firmware. All the modifications you’ve done on your device will be lost and you’ll have a chance to start everything over again. So, here’s how you can unroot your Samsung Gravity Smart (SGH-T589) smartphone.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. Your device should have at least 70% of battery life left to ensure a smoother process.

3. This works for the SGH-T589 model only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Stock Firmware (Download the appropriate firmware for your device)

2. Odin

III. Unrooting the Samsung Gravity Smart:

1. Download and place both the files onto your Desktop.

2. Extract contents from both the archives over to your Desktop.

3. Double-click on the Odin executable file and it’ll launch.

4. Click on PDA and select the Stock Firmware file you extracted earlier to your Desktop.

5. Checkmark the boxes labeled as Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.

6. Leave the Repartition box unchecked.

7. Turn OFF your device.

8. Reboot your device into Download mode. To do so, press and hold the Volume UP+Volume DOWN+Power buttons together.

9. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.

10. Click Start button in the Odin and it’ll start flashing the firmware.

11. You should be unrooted once the firmware’s been flashed.

12. You’re done!

Great! Your device has been successfully unrooted and you’re now running the official stock firmware. This firmware doesn’t have any modifications nor does it have root-access!
