How to Unroot the Samsung Mesmerize

Want to get your Samsung Mesmerize back to stock? Want to reinstate the warranty that you lost after rooting your device? No problem, here’s how you can do that. Unrooting your device will reinstate the warranty and you should be running the official stock firmware on your device. Here’s how you can unroot your Samsung Mesmerize smartphone.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. This works on Windows based PCs only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Odin

2. Stock Firmware (Search for the SCH-I500 device)

III. Unrooting the Samsung Mesmerize:

1. Download and place both the files onto your Desktop.

2. Unzip files from both the archives over to your Desktop.

3. Double-click on the Odin executable file and it’ll launch.

4. Click on PDA and select the Stock Firmware file you extracted earlier to your Desktop.

5. Turn OFF your device.

6. Reboot your device into Download mode by holding down the Volume DOWN button and plugging it in to your PC.

7. Odin should recognize your device and you’ll see one of the boxes in the Odin turning yellow.

8. Hit Start in Odin and it’ll start flashing the stock firmware.

9. It should take some good time to finish flashing the firmware.

10. Once the firmware has been flashed, reboot your device.

11. And you’re all done!

Brilliant! You’ve successfully unrooted your Samsung Mesmerize smartphone. Now it’s running the official Samsung firmware with no-root injected!
