How to Unroot the Samsung Repp (SCH-R680)
Maybe you’re sending in your device for warranty purpose? Maybe you’re sick of using root-only apps and wanting to go back to unrooted state? Either way, this guide will help you unroot your device. Unrooting the Samsung Repp is as easy as flashing the stock kernel and you’ll be back to stock. Here’s how:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. This procedure works on Windows based PCs only.
3. You should have appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, get them from here.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Odin (Download link’s given in the first post)
2. Stock Kernel (Download link’s given at the bottom of the first post)
III. Unrooting the Samsung Repp (SCH-R680):
1. Place both the files you downloaded to your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the Odin archive over to your Desktop.
3. Run Odin by double-clicking on its executable file you just extracted from the archive.
4. Checkmark the boxes labeled as Auto Reboot and One Package.
5. Click on One Package and select the Stock Kernel file you placed on your Desktop.
6. Turn OFF your device.
7. Turn it back on by holding down the Volume UP+Power buttons together. It’ll get your device into Download mode.
8. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
9. Hit Start in Odin and it’ll start flashing the kernel.
10. Once the flashing’s done, your device will automatically reboot.
11. And you should be unrooted now!
Awesome! Your device’s been successfully unrooted and you now have your lost warranty reinstated!
