How to Unroot the Sony Xperia Neo V running Android 2.3.4

Got your Xperia Neo V rooted on the Android 2.3.4 version? Looking for a way to unroot it so you can take it to the service center for some warranty reasons? No worries, this guide should help you do that. Unrooting the Xperia Neo V is quite easier than rooting it, and here’s how you can do that:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you used any other method to root your device, this procedure might not work for you.

2. This works on Windows based PCs only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Flashtool (Download the appropriate version for your PC)

III. Unrooting the Sony Xperia Neo V running Android 2.3.4:

1. Download and place the Flashtool program on your Desktop.

2. On your device, head to Menu>>Settings>>Sony Ericsson>>Connectivity>>USB Connection mode and enable the Mass Storage Mode.

3. Enable the Unknown sources option as well by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Unknown sources.

4. Turn ON the USB debugging option by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.

5. Double-click on the Flashtool executable file available on your Desktop.

6. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

7. In the program you just launched, click on Tools>>Root>>Unroot device.

8. It should begin unrooting your device and should be done within a minute or two.

9. You’re all done!
