How to Unroot the Vizio VTAB1008

So you have a rooted Vizio VTAb1008 but for some reasons you want to unroot it? No worries, here’s how you can do that. Not only does unrooting remove root from your device, but at the same time it reinstates the warranty of your device as well. So here’s how you can unroot your Vizio VTAB1008:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you used any other method to root your device, this procedure might not work for you.

2. This procedure works on Windows based PCs only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Unroot Package (It’s attached in the post #145)

III. Unrooting the Vizio VTAB1008:

1. Download and place the Unroot Package archive onto your Desktop.

2. Unzip files from the archive over to your Desktop.

3. Enable the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.

4. Enable the Unknown sources option as well by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Unknown sources.

5. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.

6. Now double-click on the RUNME-UNROOT.bat file available on your Desktop.

7. It’ll start unrooting your device.

8. Reboot your device once it’s been unrooted.

9. You’re all done!

Excellent! Your device has been successfully unrooted and you should no longer be able to find the Superuser app in your App Drawer!
