How to Use Gestures on the LG G3
Sometimes tapping just doesn’t cut it. Sometimes you just want to flip the phone over to let it know you really don’t want to take that call from your mom, or maybe silence that alarm that just won’t let you sleep in. LG understands your pain and, just like most manufacturers nowadays, has built in a few gesture controls into the system to allow for just such use cases.
You can head into the settings to enable or disable these different gestures by checking or unchecking them. Here’s how and a quick overview of the different gestures available.
1. Pull down the Notification Shade and tap the gear in the top right to get to Settings.
2. Tap the General Tab.
3. Tap on Gestures.
4. Select the different Gesture controls you’d like to enable or disable by checking or unchecking the boxes.
5. Some of the gestures you can use are:
Answering an incoming call by raising the phone to your ear:
Fading the ringtone for an incoming call just by picking up the device:
Pause a video you are currently watching by flipping the phone on it’s screen:
Silence an incoming call by flipping the device onto its screen:
And snooze an alarm by flipping the device on its screen:
And there you go. If you didn’t know you could use these before, now you do. Enjoy all the phone-flipping goodness from here on out.
