HP Offers $50 TouchPad Rebate To Palm Pre, Pre Plus, Pixi, or Pixi Plus Users
HP hopes to reward existing Palm Pre, Pre Plus, Pixi, or Pixi Plus smartphone users with an added incentive to purchase a HP 32GB TouchPad. HP is offering a $50 mail in rebate if consumers can prove they own one of the above mentioned smartphones. The offer is good until July 31.
“When the first WebOS phone came out, a lot of you took a chance on our new platform,” HP said on its blog. “We appreciate your support–as customers, as champions, and even occasionally as our most thoughtful critics–and we’d like to make it just a little easier for you to experience the latest version of the power of HP WebOS.”
It appears to be the logical move by HP to offer the incentive to its smartphone users as they can tap into both platforms through HP’s touch-to-share technology if they purchase the TouchPad.
The HP TouchPad is available in both a 16GB model for $499.99 and a 32GB version for $599.99. The device sports a 1.3-megapixel camera for video chatting, a 9.7-inch display, and runs on a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
The TouchPad is scheduled to ship on Friday.
