HTC Flyer now at $300 from Best Buy
The $199 Amazon Kindle Fire seems to have caused quite a flurry, with other manufacturers taking evasive action to prevent this cheap but loaded Android tablet cutting into their share of the market. Case in point is the HTC Flyer, previously rumored to take a cut to $299 on Best Buy, to make it seem much more closer to the $199. This piece of news has now been confirmed and the tablet is already available on Best Buy’s website for the same reduced price.
With a 1.5GHz single-core processor, a 7-inch touchscreen display that supports Scribe stylus input, a 5MP camera and 32/16GB of internal storage, the Flyer seems like a bargain at $300 – the only gripe we have about the whole deal is the presence of Android 2.3 instead of Honeycomb, but HTC should be making good on its initial promise anytime now.
