HTC One Google Edition Hits Bluetooth SIG Again, Shows Off Android 4.3
A second variant of the HTC One Google Edition has run through Bluetooth SIG. The new model, which was filed on June 18th and received its Bluetooth certification on July 5th, is shown to be running on Android 4.3 instead of the stock Android 4.2 installation for the device. This device is model number PN071 and looks to be the same device that is up for grabs through the Google Play Store.
As some of you may recall, this is the second time that the HTC One has appeared at Bluetooth SIG with the Google Edition name. This could be a result of the introduction of Bluetooth 4.0 LE support in Android 4.3, which was not available in previous iterations of Android.
Android 4.3 is expected to be released soon despite a hard date still unknown at this time. Now that we are seeing devices running Android 4.3 hit Bluetooth SIG, we’re sure the wait won’t be much longer.
