HTC Puccini 10.1-inch Android tablet being prepped for this summer

With Galaxy Tab 10.1 as its direct competitor, the HTC Puccini has a lot to live up to and if the reported specs are to be believed, it does in many ways.  Apparently, the tablet will boast of a Qualcomm dual-core 1.5GHz processor with an unspecified amount of RAM, which could set it up there at the top if even it is released in the summer.  With its 10.1-inch display, it will be able to put out a resolution of 1024×800 – a lot of real estate just begging to be filled with apps, widgets, and whatnots.  The Puccini’s touchscreen display is also purported to accept resistive input, which could mean an input device not unlike the “Scribe Pen” stylus which made its way on to the scene together with HTC’s first ever tablet, the Flyer.

On the OS side, the device will probably be running Honeycomb 3.1, which was unveiled recently, with Sense UI laid on top.  There are also rumors that the device will come with LTE capabilities and will be the first 4G device to grace AT&T’s air waves – this is yet to be confirmed though.

Whether HTC confirms or denies the rumors surrounding the device, we’ll be here to tell you, so stay tuned.
