HTC’s finally unwrapped the elusive Butterfly smartphone at its very own Taiwan launch event. As expected, the device will sport a large 5-inch 1080p display, front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers and Sense 5. Internal specs include: Android Jelly Bean OS, a quad-core 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 (faster than the HTC One), a solid 3,200mAh battery, quad-band HSPA/WCDMA radio, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage, expandable through microSD.
For those of you who double your phone as a camera, this device comes equipped with a primary UltraPixel camera with Zoe software features and a front facing 2.1-megapixel camera.
The HTC Butterfly is slated for a July launch in Taiwan, with a NT $22,900 (approximately $766) price tag. HTC has yet to confirm additional launch locations outside of Taiwan.
