Innovative Water Cooling NEC Medias X O6E Phone Headed for Japan
Innovative devices like the new NEC Medias X 06E Android smartphone are always refreshing and today we wanted to spend some time explaining why we like this one. In case you haven’t heard, the NEC Medias X 06E is a water-cooled phone which is something we haven’t seen before. This device also uses a graphite sheet to add to the cooling tech of the phone.
Here’s how it works: the water-cooling is enabled by a liquid charged tube directing heat away from the processor of the Medias X 06E. Next to the motherboard lies a graphite sheet that also protects the device from heat exposure. As excessive heat can seriously affect the performance of a device, even leading to temporary cessation of operation, anything that can add to cooling the internal hardware is a stride in the right direction for consumers.
When it comes to spec features the NEC Medias X 06E smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon S4 600 quad-core processor with Adreno 320 graphics, has a 4.7-inch OLED HD display with 1280 x 720 resolution and a 13.1-megapixel Exmor RS rear camera. According to NEC it runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and also has IP58 certification for waterproofing below 1 meter.
The NEC phone is headed for a June release in Japan with no word if it will make its way to our shores. If it does head to our retail shelves we’ll be sure to keep you all informed of the when and how much.
