How to Install Custom Recovery on the Micromax Canvas 4 A210

Now that you are rooted, the only thing standing in your way to flashing custom ROMs on your Canvas 4 is a custom recovery.  Compared to standard stock recovery, a custom recovery (ClockworkMod Recovery in this case) can help you make/restore backups and flash unauthorized zips among other things.  The below guide should help you get custom recovery on your device with little fuss and you should be flashing custom ROMs (if there are any) in no time!

I.  Before You Begin

1.  Back up everything you care about just in case.

2.  Charge your device to 75% or more to prevent unwanted shutdowns.

II.  Necessary Downloads

III.  Installing ClockworkMod Recovery on the A210

1.  Connect your device to your PC and copy recovery.img to your device’s SD card; do not put it into any subfolders, just drop it in the root folder of your SD card.  Also, make sure that are no other files with the extension .img here to prevent confusion.

2.  Head over to the Play Store and install Mobileuncle MTK Tools.

3.  Open up the newly installed Mobileuncle app and tap on the Recovery Update option.  This should show up the recovery.img file you have on your SD card.

4.  Tap on recovery.img and apply it.

5.  Wait for your device to reboot!
