iOS 7 Wallpaper Effect for Android Available in Google Play, Has Been There Since November
Just a few short days ago millions of iOS users ooo’d and ahhhh‘d to next version of Apple’s mobile OS, iOS 7. What grabbed everyone’s attention was the iOS 7 feature that makes your background image seem like it is in 3D when you move the device around. What many of those iOS users didn’t realize was that this particular feature is already available for Android users on Google Play. The impressive live wallpaper effect has actually been up for grabs since November 2012 via the 3D Image Live Wallpaper application.
The app was ironically updated on the same day that Apple unveiled iOS 7 and will make your background image seem like it is in 3D. This is done by using the gyroscope that is inside the smartphone when you move around your device. Simple concept, cool end result.
Users of the application can get a 3D effect from any image and even includes some images to get you started to provide that parallax effect, but in the app notes it states that images with strong edges work best.
