Isis Mobile Wallet Launches in Austin and Salt Lake City Test Markets: AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile Compatible Devices Available

If you’re a fan of NFC powered shopping and live in either Salt Lake City, UT or Austin, TX, then this announcement is for you. The first two test markets for the Isis Mobile Wallet application are ready and go live today for Salt Lake and Austin consumers. AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile all have Isis compatible handsets available, so all you have to do is go to a retail store for a new NFC SIM card. Once you’ve received the new NFC SIM card then simply download the Isis Mobile Wallet app from the Google Play store and you’ll be ready to get your shop on. Currently between the three carriers there are 11 compatible devices available and Isis is expected to have 20 total devices by the end of 2012. ISIS, a joint venture among Verizon Wireless, AT&T and T-Mobile, is doing just that. On Monday, Oct. 22, customers in Salt Lake City and Austin will be able to download the ISIS Mobile Wallet from Google Play to the DROID Incredible 4G LTE by HTC, visit stores in Austin and Salt Lake City to get a new SIM card, then add their credit, debit and loyalty cards into the Wallet and begin using it at many retailers in both cities. ISIS Mobile Wallet will be available on the DROID RAZR HD by Motorola and DROID RAZR MAXX HD by Motorola this week.
