Lenovo IdeaTab S2 Unveiled: 10″ Display, 1.7 GHz, Android 4.0 Ready
Lenovo kicked off CES Unveiled by unwrapping the sequel to its first Android tablet in the form of the IdeaTab S2. Impressively, the 10-inch tablet will be one of the first slabs to ship Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) out of the box. Sporting the new 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon MSM8960 processor, the IdeaTab S2 is sure to satisfy performance needs with its increased clock speed and more efficient chip design.
For consumers looking to transform their tablet into a temporary computer with a full keyboard and trackpad on the go, the S2 plays on the same full docking concept as the ASUS’ Eee Pad Transformer and Transformer Prime. The dock can be used wirelessly, and offers double the battery life, increasing your usage from nine hours to a full 20.
Lenovo certainly gets points for their competitive spirit, as the IdeaTab S2 rocks a slimmer design weighing in at 1.3lbs and 0.34 inches thick. Additional spec highlights include micro HDMI for video, a five-megapixel rear camera, and up to 64GB of built in storage.
Currently staying quiet on exact pricing, Lenovo did confirm that the IdeaTab S2 is slated for a spring ship date. Future owners of the device can look forward to either a Wi-Fi only version, or a 3G variant with the option of making phone calls.
Awesome!!!
How much does it cost? Do they have a price yet? When will it be available?
