LG doling out 10 Windows Phone 7 apps free to its users

Apart from getting a class-act smartphone, LG users will now get some special treatment too at the company’s hands, thanks to its collaboration with Microsoft.  With the phone to be released pretty soon, future Optimus 7 users will get 10 applications free of cost across a variety of genres consisting of utilities, social networking, gaming, etc., worth $30 in all, and all these can be obtained via LG’s own Application Store which will be preinstalled on LG Windows Phone 7 devices.  Brandon Watson, Director for Windows Phones Division, Microsoft, had this to say about the partnership:

This collaboration with LG creates a win-win situation for consumers and developers and will further showcase the variety of quality games and applications available on Windows Phone 7

That’s not all, as LG will also be giving away free apps from its app store apart from the ones above, which include Type n Walk, Subway AR, Voice SNS among others at a glance.  So, seems like a great start for the Windows Phone 7 platform on LG and for prospective owners of Optimus 7, which is due for a release on November 8 on Telus.
