LG Esteem for MetroPCS this October
It’s not often that MetroPCS gets a stab at the latest tech and most of the times, a specific device will do its usual rounds on broader coverage networks before finally landing in MetroPCS’ lap. The same holds true for the LG Esteem (MS910), which is a rebranded and a slightly watered down version of the LG Revolution that had its run recently on Verizon.
Like the Revolution, the Esteem also features a 4.3-inch touchscreen display and 1GHz Snapdragon processor. What changes though is the reduction of 1GB RAM to 512MB and the internal memory from a whopping 16GB to a manageable 4GB. Other features include the same HDMI output, microSD slot, Bluetooth, aGPS and WiFi, with support for WiFi hotspots, something new to any MetroPCS device. There’s no info on the camera, but we wouldn’t be surprised to find the same same 5MP lens as the one on Revolution. One good improvement though is Gingerbread 2.3.4 OS out of the box, which would save someone buying the phone from waiting to get the latest update from Google.
The device is said to launch in October, so keep reading and we’ll get you more when that happens.
