LG Optimus 3D Gingerbread update now live
Just as we reported earlier this month, the LG’s 3D droid, Optimus 3D, is currently getting its fix of the Gingerbread update. That was the good news. The bad news is that other than the features that the base OS brings, LG has not added in the extras it had promised, like the 3D video editor or faster 3G speeds. Still, it is a great leap for the Optimus 3D and the update should keep users occupied until the next big thing starts rolling out.
For those who haven’t received the notification yet, the standard procedure (Settings -> About Phone -> Check for updates) still applies. If it doesn’t find it even after that, you might have to give it a little time before trying again.
