LG Optimus 7, New Windows Phone 7 Device

Guest Writer: Craig Bennett

LG just announced the newest Window Phone 7 device, the LG Optimus 7. The LG Optimus 7 has a way to transfer media content to a targeted device using DNLA with a flick. The phone will automatically show compatible devices through WiFi like you would see on your bluetooth. While other devices have done something like this in the past, what separates this phone from others is the quality of the media. Users can transfer 720p HD movies and videos, HD pictures, and HD music to any compatible device. The prefer device this is meant to go through is a TV that hooks to your WiFi or cable, but with a little effort someone should be able to hook this up to any Xbox 360, computer, or other windows devices like the millions of other devices that do this.

Some of the LG Optimus 7 specs are a 1ghz, multi-touch, 3.7 inch screen, and a 5MP cam with a LED flash. There is no official word on how much it will cost and when this phone will be out but it is rumor that this phone will be out October this year.

Personally I like this phone but the current sale feature is how you can transfer media to your TV or other devices. There is a lot of devices that already transfer media to your TV, for example your Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii. Also I don’t know of anyone personally that uses any device that transfers media that often if ever. I’ve never seen anyone use a simple thumb drive on any of these newer TVs. Hopefully we can get some more information in the upcoming days about this phone’s features. But currently if you want this phone because it has Windows Phone 7 then I highly recommend it but if you want it for the transfer media feature I would tell you to save your money and get a $2-$20 device that will do just that.
