LG Optimus LTE with 720p HD display and 1.5GHz dual-core CPU official
Looks like the Nexus Prime has a direct competitor even before its release and it’s called the Optimus LTE. Number LU6200, The smartphone was recently revealed by LG and its spec sheet seems like it is based on all specs that the Nexus Prime is rumored to have, except with something better – 4G network support. The device features a vast AH-IPS techonology-based 4.5-inch display that puts out resolutions of up 1280×720 using its resident 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM – the said AH-IPS display tech is being touted by LG as superior to the currently reigning Super AMOLED Plus from Samsung, but we’ll know if this holds any water when the device is actually out. Other notable highlights include an 8MP camera (1.3mpx on the front), NFC chip, 2GB of onboard storage, LTE and a hefty battery of 1830 mAh alongside the usual whistles a droid usually comes with.
There’s no info currently on whether this will make its way to anywhere else other than South Korea, but with specs on par with the upcoming Nexus Prime, we can safely bet that LG will pit this device directly against the rumored Googlephone, giving us one more option to choose from this Christmas.
