LG Revolution might get the Gingerbread update today
The update to the latest Android 4.0 still seems far away for the Verizon Revolution as LG is still trying to push the Gingerbread update out the door, it seems. According to a post on LG’s support forums, the Android 2.3 update for the LG Revolution should start rolling out starting today with the Verizon version getting it by the 2nd of November at the latest. This must come as good news for many Revolution users who are still stuck with Froyo 2.2 and can finally experience the many improvements that Gingerbread brings.
The firmware can be obtained over the air and if you haven’t received it yet, it means that either LG hasn’t started the process or that you’ll have to check manually. You might want to try the latter before jumping to the former conclusion.
