MeeGo 1.1 for handsets released, ready for dual boot on Nokia N900
The latest version of the MeeGo operating system is now available for download and if you have swum the murky waters of flashing your N900 before and are ready to risk it again, go on and get it from the repository here. There is no info on what kinks have been smoothed out (and what new ones have appeared), but considering it’s only the second version of the OS for the handset, it would be safe to assume that there will be some bugs yet. As promised a couple of weeks ago, MeeGo 1.1 will now support dual boot between Nokia’s Maemo and MeeGo via the U-Boot function, giving the N900 users a taste of both worlds.
No installation instructions are available as of now but be on the lookout for a How-T0 to pop up very soon on our site. Until then, remember that if you break it, Nokia ain’t gonna cover it!
