MetroPCS announces the Samsung Admire for the budget conscious
MetroPCS is adding yet another mid-range Android to its lineup – the Samsung Admire. There’s not much admirable about the device when seen in the same light as the current behemoths like the Sensation or the Galaxy S2, but for someone looking the Android way for the first time or the ones who don’t want to spend a small fortune on their mobile device, this would be a perfect match.
The Admire features a just-enough 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2mpx camera and an 800MHz processor to run Android 2.3 without much hassle. The device is also said to be available in two colors – red and gray – to make it more appealing returning students, if the price doesn’t have them in its throes already.
No release date has been revealed but anywhere later this month would be a fair guess and for price, MetroPCS could either offer it for free on a two-year contract or just sell it outright for $150 or so.
