Microsoft Office Mobile App For iOS Launches Under The Radar, Requires Office 365 Subscription

After a whirlwind of rumors and leaks suggesting that Microsoft was developing Microsoft Office for iOS, we are rather surprised to see this launch fly under the radar. Now fans of Excel and Word can do it up right from their very own iOS device, just as long as you have an Office 365 subscription. That’s right, you can now view or edit spreadsheets, docs and Powerpoint files stored on Microsoft’s cloud services, or pinned to emails all from the convenience of your iPhone or iPod (sorry, no iPad version available yet). Offline editing is also feasible as long as you’ve recently viewed or edited the file.

The app does require that you have an iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 6.1 and the app is only available in the US for now. Microsoft Office aficionados can head on down to the iTunes link below for more information.
