Motorola readying Gingerbread for Droid series
In answer to queries from disgruntled Droid Pro and Droid 2 Global users about problems with corporate sync, a Motorola employee shot back with a reply saying the two devices will indeed be getting the Android 2.3 update very soon, along with the Droid X and Droid 2, fixing the said issues in the process. There’s also news that Motorola has the Gingerbread update already prepped for all the devices listed but is waiting for the go-ahead from Verizon to actually release them – something that Motorola has previously failed to do (case in point – Motorola Milestone) in the past.
Nevertheless, you could expect the update for all the devices by the end of next month, with the Droid X being first in line – Gingerbread is being tested as we speak on this device. We’ll keep you updated when that happens, so be sure to hit us up regularly.
