Netflix To Launch Multiple User Profile Feature, Coming This Summer
Anyone with a Netflix account is used to having to share your credentials with family members, friends and probably even some acquaintances. While sharing means you are a kind and generous person, it can get a little annoying when you have to sift through the unique viewing habits of those you are sharing with. Thankfully, Netflix is addressing the issue and will soon allow its subscribers to create multiple profiles within a single account.
The multiple user profiles feature is slated to launch this summer and is currently in its testing phase. Currently, Netflix is entertaining five or six different profiles to be tied to a single account, which would allow those profiles to receive their own personalized recommendations and instant queue stream.
Once the new feature is launched, Netflix subscribers will be able to enable it through their account. Once active, Netflix users will see a start screen that has different avatars for the different profiles that are to be associated with the account. Netflix will still allow for up to two streams to be active with a single account.
