The New Moto Z2 Force: Specs, Pricing, & Availability
Today in NYC, Motorola announced their latest in the Moto Z lineup: the Moto Z2 Force.
Successor to the Moto Z Force (duh), their rugged Moto Z (denoted by the Force–think of it like the Active on the Galaxy line of devices), it features their Shattershield 5.5″ AMOLED display, and Moto Mod compatibility (the accessories that snap onto Motorola’s lineup using connector pins on the back).
It also has a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GBs of RAM, 64GBs of storage and has a dual camera setup.
Those dual cameras are each 12MP f2.0 aperture with one being a monochrome and one being full color. They also have a portrait mode for that blurred effect we’re seeing more and more on phones lately.
On the front there’s also a wide-angle selfie camera on the front with a built in flash.
The battery is smaller than it’s predecessor and helps with the thin metallic frame (down to 2730mah).
Oh, and no headphone jack…
Motorola also showed off two MotoMods, the 360 camera and the Gamepad that turns your device into a Switch-looking console.
Preorder starts today on all US carriers. And go on sale August 10th and it’ll start at about $720.
