New Wall Street Journal Report Has Google Developing A New Nexus Q, Gaming Console, And Smart Watch
The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that Google is spending these hot summer months very busy with new projects. According to the WSJ the crew over at Google is currently developing their very own Android gaming console, a new model of the Nexus Q (remember that thing?), and a yes, you guessed it, a smartwatch. The report supports recent rumors that mentioned a few Google employees were already sporting the so-called smart watch, even though we didn’t see the device show up at this year’s Google I/O. .
The WSJ report goes on to suggest that Google is working on two separate devices: a gaming console and a new Nexus Q. There are still industry rumors buzzing around that think the devices will be one in the same, but it looks to be too early to tell what Google has up their sleeve. Hopefully, the WSJ is right about the new Nexus Q being more affordable than its original price of $299. A price cut of any kind would be welcome the second time around.
Regarding the elusive Google branded smart watch, no exact details were confirmed at this time, other than the fact that Mountain View is working on one.
The WSJ expects at least one of these devices to launch in the fall.
