Nokia CEO Confirms Budget Friendly Phones On the Way, Plans to Introduce New Asha Devices Soon
Nokia CEO Stephen Elop announced a recent investors meeting that the company was gearing up to release new affordable devices in the form of Asha phones. Elop was quoted saying:
“We are continuing to renew our portfolio, which includes plans to announce innovation and new products in the Asha line in the days immediately ahead.”
The Asha phones are aimed at consumers conscious of their budget and can usually be found with price tags under $100 off-contract. Ashas are mainly known for their QWERTY keyboards, but recent images obtained by @evleaks (shown above) indicate that touchscreen models are in the future.
